Refining Vectors for Redbubble

After opening my Redbubble shop, I revisited some of my older vector illustrations to make them work better as standalone t-shirt graphics. This meant rethinking how each piece would sit on fabric rather than a full artboard.

Web Design + 3D

I’ve been playing around with a few different web design concepts that I’m not too sure I’ll have an immediate use for, but thought they were still turning out pretty cool and would be worth sharing here. Also partially hoping to throw these up somewhere so I can reference them again in the future! Banner Animation This small project originally started out with me wanting to create a parallax scroll scene, however after quickly skimming a tutorial before diving right […]

Creating a Logo from AI

If there is one thing AI images consistently fail at it’s text… well maybe fingers too, but those have gotten a little better from what I’ve seen! I was pretty surprised when my friend showed me a logo he had been generating for his business. I saw it and really liked the direction so I offered to clean it up for him and produce a vector version. The entire process has really made me think though about the inspiration that […]

One Creepy Sugar Skull

Not sure if I’ll ever get this one quite right so figured I’d put it up here for now until I have some better ideas on how to improve it or take it further. (Maybe a new color scheme? I’ve tried a few) The general idea was to create a Mimikyu from Pokemon, but to turn it into a sugar skull. This was all taken from an illustration I had created back in college. While I thought the drawing had […]

CSS Animation

More of a work-in-progress than anything else, but have been experimenting with taking illustrations and creating hero banners out them using the SVG assets and CSS. I had previously done something relatively similar by importing the illustrations into After Effects and animating them (Like Here! and here!), however I thought it might be even more effective (reduce load times) to manually create simple animations with CSS. I think the initial result has been pretty successful and I wanted to share. […]

Midjourney and AI

With all the AI hysteria I decided it was about time I gave it a try myself. My initial experiments with ChatGPT left me extremely impressed with the new tool. Definitely saw some opportunities to have it write copy for me. Planning to leverage that more in the future for sure! In addition to that I also payed the $10/month to Midjourney to try generating some images with the same power I witnessed behind ChatGPT. It was a fun exercise […]

Album Art Exploration

Several of my close friends are involved in separate music projects. They all know I have some background in graphic art so they come to me looking for some initial exploration. Most of their projects are pretty early on in development, but often they have an interesting vision for what they want the art to look like. It’s always fun trying to adapt their ideas with my own style and these will definitely need some cleanup before being released. Gank […]

iRacing Skins

A few of my friends are really into VR iRacing. To help with their clan identity and because I thought the design challenge was interesting I decided to help produce some logos for them to share along with skins for the cars that they most regularly race with. Creating the vehicle skins was definitely the most unusual/challenging part of all this. Since I don’t have the VR iRacing software I ended up using photoshop to open/edit these files. It was […]

Animating Illustrations

Lots of gifs on this page may cause some loading issues, but I’ve taken some of my illustrations that I completed over the last couple months and turned them into animations. While some of the movement was probably unnecessary it was a lot of fun combining the different compositions in after effects to finally recreate the original illustration with some added movement. Stamp I really like how this one turned out with the rotating sun beams in the background. If […]
