Web Design + 3D

I’ve been playing around with a few different web design concepts that I’m not too sure I’ll have an immediate use for, but thought they were still turning out pretty cool and would be worth sharing here. Also partially hoping to throw these up somewhere so I can reference them again in the future! Banner Animation This small project originally started out with me wanting to create a parallax scroll scene, however after quickly skimming a tutorial before diving right […]

CSS Animation

More of a work-in-progress than anything else, but have been experimenting with taking illustrations and creating hero banners out them using the SVG assets and CSS. I had previously done something relatively similar by importing the illustrations into After Effects and animating them (Like Here! and here!), however I thought it might be even more effective (reduce load times) to manually create simple animations with CSS. I think the initial result has been pretty successful and I wanted to share. […]

Animating Illustrations

Lots of gifs on this page may cause some loading issues, but I’ve taken some of my illustrations that I completed over the last couple months and turned them into animations. While some of the movement was probably unnecessary it was a lot of fun combining the different compositions in after effects to finally recreate the original illustration with some added movement. Stamp I really like how this one turned out with the rotating sun beams in the background. If […]

Hello Dribbble!

I started a Dribbble account the other day and was invited to be a player. Members of the Dribbble community typically create a debut image showing their excitement to be a player on the court. I was able to quickly illustrate the image and had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted to do when I started out which made it much easier. Animating it on the other hand was another story. I didn’t prep the image as much […]

More Motion Graphics

I created more explainer/marketing videos during my time working at Tracker. These videos were on a much tighter schedule considering I hadn’t been using Adobe After Effects regularly, however I think I was able to produce these three videos to good success. I’m especially product of the New Tracker video as I cut the video to the music used. (Similar to my Smash Bros Combo Videos!) For the DigitalDispatch video I recycled the majority of animations from the original video, […]

Explainer Video

A video I completed while working at Tracker. I created this video to showcasing how our new product can help a towing business. This video ended up being part explainer/part marketing video. It was my first attempt at animating Adobe Illustrator files in Adobe After Effects. I found out I really enjoy making motion graphics like this and I have started experimenting a lot with After Effects as a result. I created this video on and off over the course […]

Noir

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) Made for THAC 8 (Twenty-Four Hour Animation Contest) which took place this weekend. Voting hasn’t started yet, but as soon as the entire contest is over I’ll be sure to let you guys know how it went. You can follow how the actual contest went on Twitter. Lots of things I learned from this film. I also want to release as black and white version later (to better fit Noir criteria), but for […]

Smoking Gun

An entry into THAC VII (Twenty-Four Hour Animation Contest 7). I really focused on the visual look of the film. The sets and animation and because of only focusing on the sets the story fell apart. This is well it may have looked better with no voice acting, but this is what I finished with in 24 hours. The theme was unexpected.
