Daily UI: Week 1

On Monday I decided to take the #DailyUI Challenge. I may end up cherry-picking or bending the rules of some of these daily challenges based on my level of interest in the material. (For example, Day 4 was Calculator, I wasn’t really feeling that so it got skipped.) For the most part I’m going to try to adhere to the challenge and maybe incorporate some of my other designs into it all. For the sign-up screen I ended up recycling […]

Podcast App

Tracker and the Tow Biz Podcast teamed up to create a dedicated podcasting app for the new show. My responsibility was to create UI mockups to be passed over to Android Development. The development team already had a rough app together before I got started so I worked within those confines. Beyond that the TBP used white, grey, and lime-green so I tried to adhere to their colors. I also created some small marketing materials and the app icon for […]

7 Days, 7 Illustrations

So a week ago I set a goal for myself to create a new illustration each day of the week, including weekends. I grew extremely accustomed to the style I have been working in recently with a bubbly style and clear highlights and lowlights. This all started with me getting extra excited about the Piranha Plant DLC in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Anyway I’m a big fan of this style, especially for designing characters and I expect to use it […]

Habanero Hoops Logo

I was contacted by one of my friends on Snapchat of all places recently. Anyway, he wanted a logo for a sports podcast he and his buddy currently run. After he told me their name and that he wanted any sort of logo he could get… I was in. As soon as he described the hot takes personality of the show in line with its name, I had my idea for what the logo should be. These logos were created […]

Towing for a Cure

A marketing campaign and landing page to support the Breast Cancer Awareness initiative in the towing industry. We created a campaign to sell towing t-shirts and donate all proceeds to charity. The landing page was particularly fun to create for this project. I wanted to create a page that would look unique and stand-out. This was also an opportunity for me to break slightly from the style I had been using for the prior 6-months. Like with most landing pages I […]

One Page Portfolio

A one-page website designed to host my friend’s photography and video content. I’ve always been a big fan of one-page websites, particularly how quickly they come together so I was more than happy to oblige when my friend said he needed help. Having designed and re-designed my own website on several occasions I have a level of familiarity in designing portfolio sites. I’ve even dabbled in creating a one-page layout for myself back when I had less content I wanted to […]

Twitch Business Cards

One of my coworkers has been running a Twitch stream for quite some time. He was heading out to Chicago for a Twitch meetup and asked me to craft business cards for him to pass out to people at the event. In order to create a business card suitable for him I had to provide his audience with his username for Twitch and Twitter along with his gamertag, 2BKRules. Since he mostly runs social streams and plays games focusing on […]
