Colossal Castle Contest 8

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) Inspired by the works of M.C. Escher only in LEGO castle! An entry into CCCVIII. I have a few other entries as well that I hope to upload soon. Maybe I’ll rephotograph. I’m not completely sold on how it turned out. Based on the legend written by T.H. White in which Arthur brings Excalibur to his nervous step-brother Sir Kay because he has forgotten to bring his sword to the tournament. Sir Ector […]

LEGO Movie Scenes

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) It’s moments like these when you begin to evaluate your life. Inspired by the Pharaoh’s Quest line, but since I don’t actually have any of the sets I’m left to settle with a Indian Jones counterpart busting from a cave in flames with skeletons chasing behind. View the Full Gallery. Built back when the Harry Potter movie was first released. I’ve had it sitting on my desktop for a little while and I […]

Modern House

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) After funksway I wanted to continue building creations that had a modern aesthetic. The next place I thought to take it was outdoors with this modern design house. The creation would go on to be featured on the Brothers-Brick. I think I took my modern art photographs to an entire new level. I really like how it all turned out though. To many different inspiration shots behind this to point out one. See […]

VV – Police Interceptor

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) A large fighter used for transport of dangerous criminals. Probably my only build for the Vic Viper event since I’ve got so many other builds in the process. You’ll see those later though. In the mean time view the Full Gallery (When Public)

Outpost & Fort

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) Pirates hoist the colors on the shore of a well-armed pirate fort. Yes the fort has an interior which can be seen in the BrickShelf Gallery. And yes its the larger version of this. An small outpost in the middle of nowhere with a small community. Originally inspired by 6244 Armada Sentry, but it took a turn in a different direction and I’m happy with it. I encourage you to view the Full […]

Forced Perspective – Castle

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) Started with me wanting to build a castle, then I mixed it with my desire to build a Forced Perspective Creation. I think everything went really well here. View the Full Gallery. The new Kingdoms Dragon Faction figures are by far my favorite Castle figures ever developed by the LEGO Company. Hoping to do more completely minifigure scale vignettes/dioramas later. Go green and gold! View the Full Gallery.

Interior Design – LEGO

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) These are images and sets created shortly after BrickWorld 2010. Safe to say I picked up a lot of new and creative ideas at this event. I’ve always been a fan of architecture. I think it shows a little here. Heavy inspiration from this and John. Now let’s see if we can beat the last one.

Tall Ships 2010

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) These photos sat on my desktop for quite sometime before being published. That doesn’t necessarily mean they were edited 100% to my liking. “An older photo found when cleaning off my desktop. “

Mecha Racing

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) My Mecha Racer feature here went on to be nominated for Best Mecha at BrickWorld 2010. Beating the brutally massacred, long dead, zombiefied, horse… otherwise known as Mecha Racing. I still <3 it. View the Full Gallery. Dubbed the second. I looked back on my older model a while back and decided I needed to put some new effort into the theme even if it has gone out. Tyler’s Group

BrickWorld 2010

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog) A collection of photos from my trip to BrickWorld 2010 in Chicago, IL. I always have a great time at BrickWorld and this year I built a series of smaller detailed creations to occupy my layout space. Scroll to the bottom to see better photos of the MOCs I brought with me. I managed to fill two tables and I was mostly pleased with everything I brought. I’ll have better photos up later. […]
