Dispatching System

Date

March 2019

One of my earliest UI projects at Tracker involved the creation of a small dispatching application for towing companies. The majority of development had been completed prior to me working on the project. I mostly styled the existing product into the form it is now.

Simple Dispatching

Around April 2018 I created some quick Photoshop mockups for how I thought the new dispatch application our dev team created could look. As I did not have much experience designing software I was not to sure how it would be received. Thankfully, everyone seemed to like it, so much so that I was then asked to style the pages for the new app to look like my mockups. After three iterations or so I had finalized the design into the layouts I have presented here.

Branding

I started working on this project around the same time I started working more closely on branding for Tracker. I tried to apply the same branding principles I was using at Tracker to their products. This product in particular was intended as a stand-alone app so I wanted to differentiate it enough that it looked separate enough from our other products, but still looked on brand.

Motion Graphics

In addition to working on the UI for this particular product I also did some marketing efforts via social media posts and the creation of a short animated video created in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. The idea was to show how this product would appeal to tow truck operators and dispatchers. It was my first time creating animations in After Effects like this so it took a little practice, but overall I was extremely happy with the end result. Click here to watch the video.
