BrickWorld 2009

This is a relic post. (Content pre-blog)

All my photos from BrickWorld 2009, along with photos of the creations that I brought with me.

The project started way back in January is finally complete. Well it was actually complete in time for BrickWorld 2009 where all the photos were taken, but now it is finally available for all people of the web. At BrickWorld is was nominated as ‘Best Individual Layout’ and has appeared in a few photostreams of people who photographed it at BrickWorld. Next year I think I may even plan on going a little bigger if my collection will allow me.

“A rather new town featuring the latest guards also is under a terrible fate, Pirates! The have brought their large ship along the coast fully armed with cannons and blood thirsty Pirates. Now they fire the cannons and wreck havoc on the peaceful new town. Citizens and Soldiers alike take up arms ready to fight back and stop the Pirates from accessing their hoard under the mountain.”

Yatamabishia

Because imports are cool…
The latest style of Space flyer from Japan, Earth sports a fantastic green and sleek black color scheme and looks like a real racer. The Yatamabishia features the latest in comfort and luxuries available in space. You will also find sleek curved fins the looks great when in motion, and new sporty nose, and great mileage for flying from galaxy to galaxy. Featuring many techniques I have seen floating around Flickr, TBB, BrickShelf, etc., etc.

Space Marine Luxury Vehicle

Design based, but not identical, to the original by Tyler.

Featuring my own technique for four wheel suspension (all individual) along with a different, in my opinion much more fitting for the average Civilian Hog, and in a nice fire engine red color.

Polaris – 186

The Polaris Model is a starfighter typically assisting with larger SHIPs and in small skirmishes. The model number 186 is owned and used by Detective Watson a film noir based man using the latest in TECHNoe equipment including the fabulous MEGA gun. His journeys have taken him far to the outer reaches of the galaxies and the packed engines have saved him in rough situations.

Luna – Submersible

The ‘Luna’ submersible is an unmanned exploration craft for the research and discovery of all things under the ocean. It can reach unbelievable depths and feature two articulated arms and a fully articulated hand. This sub has arms that feature more joints in its are than a human arm has.

Aphrodite

Sorry the photograph didn’t turn out the bet. It is light blue for anyone interested. I was trying to imitate Fredoichi although I ended up matching his most recent fighter almost exactly with colors. For BrickWorld. I will probably add a few stickers to it before I have to pack up. I also just noticed the border around the photo. Argh. Gimp has been doing this a lot to me lately. Thanks to ‘Vid for posting the style of photography he ended up inspiring me to use.
